Coronation of Mary, Velazquez

  I pray you all are having a wonderful and joy-filled Easter.  Isn't it terrific that as Catholics we have the privilege of celebrating our Lord's glorious Resurrection for 50 days?  What an opportunity to focus on the reality of our redemption and salvation in Christ!  What hope is ours when we meditate on the power of God that raised Christ Jesus from the dead!

Regina caeli, laetare, alleluia,
Queen of heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia,
The Son whom you merited to bear, alleluia,
resurrexit sicut dixit, alleluia;
has risen as he said, alleluia.
ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.
(Pray for us to God, alleluia)

Gaude et laetare, Virgo Maria, alleluia!
Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia!
Quia surrexit Dominus vere, alleluia.
For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.

Hear the Regina Caeli sung.

Blessed John Paul II, pray for us!
